You can put a cooking pot in the fires inside builds when you place camp fires in them but you can't cook cans in cooking pots only meat and vegetables. You can cook meat though, why you want to heat your beans up? Just eat them like a hobo lol. You can bury the cooking pot with stuff inside to save for later btw.
